East Jakarta Environment Sub-agency Head, Wahyudi Rudianto said that the volume of garbage collected after New Year's Eve in East Jakarta was relatively small.
"The volume of garbage is small, as the crowds of residents and traders on the streets are also not too crowded. The weather factor seems to be the main thing people are reluctant to leave the house," he expressed, Monday (1/2).
Here is Jakartans' Hope in 2023According to him, as many as 12.1 tons of garbage were successfully collected from TMII, Pasar Rebo Flyover, Klender Flyover, Jenderal Urip Sumoharjo, Old Shanghai, and Jalan Pramuka Raya. Most garbage collected was dominated by food cups, bottled water, plastic, paper waste, and fireworks.
"Yesterday, we predicted that garbage at TMII could reach 100 tons. On New Year's Eve 2019, the volume could touch 700 tons yet our prediction was missed," he stated.
